September Minutes The group reviewed the September meeting minutes.

 

Minutes approved.

Annual Update J. Hart passed out the most recent draft of the LexWork annual update.  The group reviewed the document and shared thoughts and suggested changes.  A final draft will be completed by J. Hart and distributed to the members.

 

C. Plummer mentioned that there is a possibility the Community Conversations may still take place, pending the upcoming administration change.

Juvenile Detention Center LexWork toured the Juvenile Detention Center.  It gave the group an opportunity to connect with the staff and understand where their gaps in needs may lie.  See below for identified needs:

·         Outdated materials

·         Opportunities for individuals aging out of the program

·         Needing to connect with more community partners

·         Increase in membership of Citizens Advisory Committee; looking for advisors; meetings annually

 

J. Hart shared that anyone interested in providing education to the center may attend an informational meeting on November 13 from 10 a.m. – 12noon.

CORE Guide Distribution C. Nentwick reviewed the list of resources on the CORE Guide, along with some additionally identified ones, and volunteers signed up to distribute the guides.

 

J. Hart will develop some speaking notes for those distributing the guides.
